Correia & Puth Elevates Andrew Adelman to Partner

Correia & Puth is excited to announce that Andrew Adelman has been elevated to Partner. Mr. Adelman’s practice focuses on representing workers in all aspects of the firm’s employment litigation practice, including sex discrimination, whistleblower retaliation, and disability discrimination. Specifically, Mr. Adelman has extensive experience representing individuals who face discrimination based on their sex, sexual orientation, and gender identity. This past summer, Mr. Adelman was an integral part of the trial team that won a $930,000 jury verdict on behalf of the firm’s transgender client on her claims of hostile work environment and retaliation against her former employer. He represents a wide range of workers in both the private and federal sector, writes and presents frequently on issues affecting employment and civil rights laws, and is a leader on these issues in several voluntary bar organizations.

“I am excited to continue working with my colleagues at Correia & Puth in this new role, helping to hold employers and other institutions accountable. Safeguarding and advancing our civil rights laws are important to ensuring that people can live their lives with dignity, authenticity, and autonomy,” said Mr. Adelman. “It is now more important than ever to step up and speak out for those who increasingly face marginalization by those institutions with power.”

“We are excited to have Andrew join our partnership,” said Jonathan C. Puth. “We are impressed by his dedication and commitment to this work, and are excited to see his leadership at our firm and in this field. Andrew is a top rate litigator and advocate for our clients. We look forward to continuing to working alongside him in this fight.”

Mr. Adelman is barred in the District of Columbia and California. He received his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and his B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley. Mr. Adelman clerked for Chief Judge Anna Blackburne-Rigsby of the District of Columbia Court of Appeals
