On March 10, 2025, Correia & Puth Partner Andrew Adelman submitted testimony and testified virtually before the Maryland General Assembly Health and Government Operations Committee in support of HB1055, which establishes a commission to study Maryland’s nondiscrimination laws and make recommendations on legislation in Maryland to address deficiencies. The Commission will be empowered to evaluate the strengths, opportunities, and barriers to Maryland’s civil rights statutes by bringing together and providing a voice for all stakeholders, as well as making recommendations to streamline and strengthen the State’s anti-discrimination laws.
