Correia & Puth and the Human Rights Campaign Foundation Launch Class Action Complaint on Behalf of Federal Workers Over Loss of Gender Affirming Health Care Coverage

January 1, 2026 – Today, Correia & Puth and the Human Rights Campaign Foundation launched a class action complaint against the US Office of Personnel Management (OPM) on behalf of federal employees and their families over loss of gender affirming care.

The class of federal employees have initiated EEO counseling with OPM asserting that the denial of medically necessary gender affirming care is discriminatory on the basis of sex. The letter initiating EEO Counseling can be found here.
