On May 8, 2025, Whitman Walker honored Correia & Puth with the Dale Edwin Sanders Award for Pro Bono Excellence at the Going the Extra Mile celebration for Whitman-Walker’s Legal Services. The award celebrated partners Jonathan Puth and Andrew Adelman for their work representing Diana Portillo Medrano, a transgender woman who sued her employer for discrimination and retaliation and obtained a jury verdict of $930,000. Diana was originally represented by Whitman Walker Legal Services in the administrative stage of her case, and Whitman Walker eventually referred her to Correia & Puth through their Pro Bono Partnership program. Jonathan Puth said, “We are so grateful for our partnership with Whitman Walker and look forward to working together again in the future.”
