On April 5, 2024, Correia & Puth’s Lauren Khouri spoke on a panel titled “Emerging Issues in Title IX Litigation,” at the National Employment Lawyers Association’s Spring Seminar in Denver, CO. Lauren Khouri, with Adria Lynn Silva and Rebecca G. Pontikes, discussed emerging issues in Title IX, including how to prove damages after the Supreme Court’s decision in Cummings and how to participate in school Title IX proceedings after the Department of Education’s 2020 rules. Title IX provides, “No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.”
