On February 11, 2026, Correia & Puth’s Kelsey Speyer spoke to attorney volunteers about federal workers’ rights to receive reasonable accommodations at work, specifically telework. Ms. Speyer spoke alongside other practitioners who represent federal employees as part of a training hosted by the Federal Workers Legal Defense Network. The FWLDN is described by Democracy Forward as a “project to connect federal workers whose rights have been violated by the Trump administration with free legal support.” As part of the training, Ms. Speyer addressed a recent pattern of the federal government revoking or denying telework as a reasonable accommodation for federal employees. Along with attorneys Mary Kuntz and Heidi Burakiewicz, Ms. Speyer discussed tips for drafting reasonable accommodations requests, the legal framework that governs these situations, and the impact these changes will have on employees with disabilities.
