Tuesday, January 13 – Cathy Harris joined Fox5 to discuss a case filed by Correia & Puth in partnership with the Human Rights Campaign Foundation on behalf of a class of federal workers who rely on federal health insurance plans to cover gender affirming care for them, their spouses, and/or their dependents. Under a new Trump Administration policy, starting January 1, 2026, federal health insurance plans can no longer cover gender affirming care. The case asserts that the elimination of that coverage is discrimination on the basis of sex under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Cathy discusses the case and the policy change’s broader impact on the federal workforce.
