On December 1, 2022, Correia & Puth’s Andrew Adelman participated in the webinar “Picking Your Fights: How to Avoid Discovery Disputes that Do More Harm than Good,“ an event cosponsored by the Metropolitan Washington Employment Lawyers Association and the Federal Bar Association, Northern Virginia Chapter. In a moderated discussion of best practices for crafting discovery requests and resolving discovery disputes, Mr. Adelman and the panel – which included Magistrate Judge J. Mark Coulson of the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland, Magistrate Judge Ivan Davis of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, and Fisher & Phillips’ Lauren Goetzl – discussed ways to craft smart discovery, strategies to resolve disputes without court intervention, unique issues with electronically stored information, and best practices when presenting disputes to the court.
